Built on Purpose™
You know how to do excellent work.
But running a business asks something more of you than delivering your expertise well. It asks you to create direction, generate demand, influence decisions, make commercial choices and keep building the business while you serve the clients already in front of you.
Built on Purpose™ is a six-month live online program for experienced women who are ready to make the transition from expert responding to the work that comes their way to Expert and Business Owner deliberately shaping what comes next.
You will work on the mindset, relationships and business practices that help you move from circumstance-led to owner-led - without losing the expertise, integrity or se nse of purpose that made the business worth building.
Applications are now open for the founding cohort of up to 12 women.

Inside an established organisation, much of the commercial system already existed around you. There was a recognised brand, access to clients and markets, organisational credibility, colleagues, processes, financial controls and a regular rhythm of work.
In your own business, you are responsible for creating and leading that system.
You may be highly experienced, respected and very good at what you do - yet still find that work and turnover rise and fall more than they should.
When work is plentiful, client delivery consumes your attention. Visibility, networking and business development move to the bottom of the list. When the work slows, the empty space creates pressure. You become more reactive, question what is working and may accept opportunities because they are available rather than because they are right.
Busy. Then quiet.
Confident. Then questioning.
Feast. Famine. Repeat.

It is tempting to treat feast or famine as a marketing problem, a sales problem or a confidence problem.
It may show up as all three. But isolated tactics rarely solve an owner-level problem.
Your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ may reveal patterns in the way you see yourself, communicate your value, build relationships, choose opportunities, create future demand or lead the commercial side of the business.
The Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ helps you recognise what is happening. Built on Purpose™ helps you address what lies beneath it, build the capabilities your business needs and apply them in the business itself.
The patterns help explain why the business behaves as it does. They may point to hesitation about visibility, an overreliance on referrals, unclear priorities, inconsistent business development or decisions made under pressure. Together, they show where your current way of operating needs to expand so you can lead the business more deliberately.

You do not need to discard the strengths that made you successful. Nor do you need to become louder, more aggressive or less like yourself.
You need to expand your understanding of your role.
As the owner, you are responsible not only for the quality of the work. You must also create the direction, relationships, demand, decisions and systems that enable your expertise to keep reaching the right people, delivering value and producing a return.
That means learning to lead yourself, influence the people on whom the b usiness depends and lead the business with greater purpose and commercial discipline.

Built on Purpose™ is designed to help you become less dependent on what happens to arrive and more deliberate about what you are building.
By the end of the program, you will have made meaningful progress on the patterns most relevant to your business and developed stronger owner practices around them.
You will have:
expanded your identity from Expert to Expert and Business Owner;
identified the mindset patterns affecting your confidence, decisions and behaviour;
begun shifting the beliefs and responses that keep you small, hesitant or reactive;
developed greater self-trust in the face of uncertainty;
clarified the Purpose, direction and priorities of your business;
strengthened the way you communicate value and influence clients, prospects, referrers and collaborators;
made deliberate choices about your market, positioning, offers and opportunities;
established a more consistent rhythm for visibility, relationships and future work;
improved your ability to use commercial and financial information in your decisions;
taken practical action on the highest-priority issues revealed by your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™;
created a rolling 90-day plan that turns strategy into sustained implementation.

Your result will not look identical to anyone else’s. Your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™, business and priorities will determine where you need to make the greatest inroads
The shared destination is the same: a stronger Business Owner leading a more purposeful, deliberate and commercially healthy business.

Feast-or-famine patterns do not sit neatly inside separate boxes. Mindset affects visibility. Visibility affects opportunity. Opportunity affects revenue. Revenue pressure affects decisions. Decisions reinforce identity.
Built on Purpose™ works across three interconnected pillars because the owner and the business develop together.

Lead Self is the warp and weft of the program - the foundation running through everything else.
We will explore the identity, beliefs and internal patterns shaping the way you operate as a Business Owner. You will have the opportunity to recognize when self-doubt, perfectionism, the need for proof or the discomfort of uncertainty is influencing what you do next - and choose differently.
You will work on:
identity transition from Expert to Expert and Business Owner.
recognizing the value you create.
purpose, values, strengths, beliefs and needs.
dismantling limiting beliefs and choosing a more useful, success-focused mindset.
strengthening self-trust by acting, learning and adapting.
perfectionism, validation and waiting for permission;
maintaining agency when circumstances are uncertain;
developing your own Business Owner Success Formula.
This is not positive thinking pasted over a commercial problem. It is the internal work that enables you to take the external action your business requires
A business cannot be built in isolation. It depends on your ability to understand and influence clients, prospects, referrers, collaborators, team members and other stakeholders.
Influence does not mean manipulation. It means understanding what matters to other people, communicating value in terms they recognise and making it easier for them to act.
You will work on:
understanding the deeper problem, challenge or aspiration behind the service a client initially requests;
translating expertise into value people can recognise;
positioning and differentiating your business;
communicating with clarity and relevance;
becoming appropriately visible;
building and activating your network deliberately;
initiating conversations, making asks and following up;
strengthening relationships with existing clients and referrers;
leading collaborators or team members where relevant;
creating a consistent service experience around the work you deliver.
Purpose gives the business meaning and direction. Commercial leadership keeps it alive.
You will step back from the immediate work to decide what the business is building, where it will compete and what needs to happen next.
You will work on:
defining the Purpose and core values of the business;
developing a vision that expresses your Purpose in the market as it exists now and as it evolves;
choosing and understanding the market you want to serve;
examining external opportunities and threats;
assessing your strengths and weaknesses in light of your ambitions;
clarifying your brand, position, offers and business model;
capturing evidence, intellectual property and relationships so each piece of work strengthens what comes next
evaluating opportunities rather than simply accepting what appears;
translating strategy into priorities and action;
creating a sustainable business-development rhythm;
leading collaborators or team members where relevant;
understanding the pipeline and the next action required;
making owner-level financial and investment decisions;
building practical systems that support consistency, capacity and growth;
using a rolling 90-day plan to keep the business moving.
Profit keeps the business alive. Purpose makes it worth building.
A commercially healthy expertise-led business repeatedly does five things:

Built on Purpose™ helps you see where that cycle is working, where it is breaking down and what owner capability and action are needed next.
You will not be given a generic formula and told to force your business into it. You will use the formula to make better decisions about your own market, relationships, offers, delivery and future value.
The aim is not simply to complete more work. It is to ensure that the work leaves something behind - stronger evidence, deeper relationships, clearer intellectual property, better systems or greater market understanding - that makes future value easier to create, communicate, sell or deliver.

Built on Purpose™ runs over six months so you have time to understand the ideas, apply them in your business, learn from what happens and return with better questions.
It may be right for you if:
12 live online, interactive 90-minute group sessions, held fortnightly.
The Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™.
Practical tools and guided work across all three pillars.
Two private one-hour coaching sessions with Suzanne.
Small-group breakout conversations, initially rotating and later moving into more consistent pairs or triads.
Work completed in and on your business between sessions.
A private Facebook group exclusively for the Built on Purpose™ community, with support and additional resources uploaded regularly.
A prioritised development and business plan based on your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™.
A rolling 90-day implementation plan.

The sessions will combine teaching, discussion, coaching, application and peer learning. You will have space to test your thinking, learn from the experiences of other women and return to the group with real observations from your own business.
The small cohort matters. With up to 12 women, there is room to contribute, be challenged, receive attention and build relationships with people experiencing many of the same demands.

The first private session will help you interpret the patterns emerging from your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ and Lead Self work. Together, we will identify the priorities most likely to affect the way you lead the business.
The second will integrate your work across all three pillars and sharpen the decisions, actions and measures in your rolling 90-day plan.
This is where the program becomes particularly personal. Two women may experience feast or famine for very different reasons. Your priorities and plan will reflect what is happening in your business.

Built on Purpose™ is for experienced women who have built a business around their expertise and are ready to lead more of the business around it.
It may be right for you if:
you do valuable work that makes a difference, but the flow of clients, projects or turnover remains uneven;
referrals have carried the business but are no longer enough on their own;
you are busy without feeling that you are building something sufficiently coherent;
you want to understand the mindset and behavioural patterns beneath your uneven business results;
you value thoughtful challenge, practical action and the support of capable peers.
you do valuable work that makes a difference, but the flow of clients, projects or turnover remains uneven;
client delivery repeatedly displaces visibility and business development;
you want greater commercial confidence without abandoning your values;
you are prepared to apply the work between sessions
You do not need to employ a team. You may be a sole practitioner, lead a small team or work with a network of collaborators.
What matters is that you are ready to take greater responsibility for building and leading the system around your expertise.
Built on Purpose™ is for experienced women who have built a business around their expertise and are
ready to lead more of the business around it.
It may be right for you if:
a quick marketing hack or instant lead-generation formula;
someone to save you or rescue the business for you;
someone else to make your business decisions;
passive content without discussion or application;
a large-scale start-up or venture-capital accelerator;
a generic business model to copy;
guaranteed revenue without regard to your market, offer or implementation.

I know what it is to move from succeeding inside a large organization to becoming responsible for the whole system around your own expertise.
When I established my business, strong relationships and referrals created early momentum. But referrals are not a business development strategy. When the flow became less predictable, I had to learn to lead the business as deliberately as I had once led significant work inside established organisations.
I had to appoint my own business as a client.
At first, I had not so much built a business as replaced an employer with self-employment. I came to recognise the entrepreneur in me later, as I developed my own ideas, methods and point of view. But original thinking was still not enough. It needed a purposeful, commercially sound business around it.
That meant bringing together the areas that have shaped my work for decades: mindset and identity, leadership and influence, marketing and business strategy.
Built on Purpose™ has grown from that experience and from working with leaders, professionals and business owners through demanding transitions.
Built on Purpose™ does not ask you to change who you are. It helps you see yourself more fully - to recognise capabilities you may have underused, develop those the owner role demands, and bring more of your judgement, courage and purpose into the way you lead.
A shift in perspective changes what you can see.
What you can see expands what becomes possible.
What you act upon changes performance.
Built on Purpose™ brings those three elements into the practical
work of building and leading your business.
Suzanne has worked with executives, professionals, leaders and business owners across organisation and industries. This comment is from that broader body of work.
Your Strategy and Marketing workshops are stimulating, educational and experiential. Your coaching embeds their learning and challenges both their thinking and actions, equipping my top clients to step up as leaders and take their businesses to the next level.

The progress you make will depend on what your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ reveals, the needs of your business and the work you do throughout the program.
If you attend at least 10 of the 12 live sessions, complete the agreed work, participate in both private coaching sessions and apply the program in your business, you will finish with evidence of meaningful progress on your priority patterns and a rolling 90-day plan for continuing that progress.
The sessions will be recorded so you can catch up if you need to miss one. A recording cannot replace the peer interaction, breakout conversations and live coaching, which is why active attendance remains part of the promise.
That evidence may include shifts in mindset and behaviour, decisions made, conversations initiated, business practices established, opportunities evaluated differently, greater consistency in visibility or business development, and clearer commercial priorities.
At the beginning of the program, we will use your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ to agree the priority changes you are working towards. We will review your progress throughout the program and at completion.
If you have fulfilled those responsibilities and the agreed outcomes are not yet sufficiently established, I will continue working with you at no additional cost until they are.
This promise does not guarantee revenue, profit, clients or market response. Those outcomes are affected by factors outside the program, including your market, offer, competitive environment, decisions and implementation.
It does guarantee that if you do the work, I will not leave you with insight alone. We will keep working until the priority shifts, practices and plan we agreed are sufficiently in place for you to continue.
A four-part payment plan will be available.
Your investment includes six months of live online group work, two private coaching sessions, your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ and individual priorities, practical tools, between-session application, the private participant community, ongoing access to the program content and earlier recordings, a founding cohort Review Pass and your rolling 90-day plan.
This is the founding program. The investment is expected to increase for subsequent cohorts as Built on Purpose™ is refined and evidence from the first cohort is incorporated.
Built on Purpose™ is deliberately interactive.
The cohort is limited to 12 so that every participant has room to contribute, receive individual attention, learn through breakout conversations and bring the realities of her own business into the room.
As a founding participant, your experience will also help shape the strongest future version of the program.
The limit is not manufactured scarcity. It is what allows the program to deliver the depth, access and peer connection on which the work depends.

Applying does not commit you to joining.
Before applying, please complete the Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™. You do not need to have interpreted every result perfectly. The application will ask which patterns or areas stood out, what you recognised and what you believe they may be costing you.
The application will also ask about your business, what you are experiencing, what you want to change and your readiness to participate in the work.
Every woman being considered for a place will be invited to a 20-minute mutual fit conversation with Suzanne. This gives us both an opportunity to ask questions, clarify expectations and decide whether Built on Purpose™ is the right next step.
Together, you will explore:
where your business is now;
what you want to build;
the Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ patterns affecting it;
whether you are ready for the work;
whether Built on Purpose™ is the right next step.
If we agree that the fit is right, you will be invited to join the founding cohort.
Yes. The Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ provides the starting point for your application and mutual fit conversation. You do not need to diagnose yourself perfectly, but you will be asked to identify what stood out, which patterns or areas appear most significant and what they may be costing you. If you have not yet completed it, you will be directed to the Diagnostic before continuing with your application.
No. You may have been in business for months or many years. The question is not how long you have beenoperating. It is whether you are ready to move from responding to circumstances towards deliberatelyleading the business around your expertise.
No. The program is relevant to sole practitioners, small business owners, and women working with employees, contractors or collaborators. Lead and Influence Others includes the clients, prospects, referrers and partners on whom every business depends.
Marketing is part of building a healthy business, but Built on Purpose™ is broader. It works across identity and mindset, influence and relationships, and the strategic and commercial practices required to lead the business.
You will be expected to complete agreed work and apply the tools in your business between fortnightly sessions. The amount will vary according to the priorities you choose, but the work is designed to advance the business rather than create disconnected homework.
Sessions will be recorded so you can catch up when necessary. You will still miss the live discussion, peer interaction, breakout conversations and opportunity to raise questions in the room, so regular attendance is strongly encouraged. Attendance at a minimum of 10 sessions is required for the Built on Purpose™ Implementation Promise.
You will leave with a rolling 90-day plan, ongoing access to the program content and earlier recordings, and continued connection through the private Facebook group.
As a founding participant, you will also receive one Review Pass to revisit the live online program with a future cohort. Reviewers can attend the plenary teaching and work with one another in a separate breakout room. They will not join the new participants’ private breakout discussions or coaching, and questions will be directed to Suzanne at designated times. The Review Pass is subject to the future cohort proceeding and the review arrangements operating as intended.
Graduates may also be invited to join an ongoing implementation community available only to women who have completed Built on Purpose™.
No ethical program can guarantee market or financial outcomes it does not control. Built on Purpose™ does provide an Implementation Promise covering the agreed progress, practices and planning outcomes when you attend, participate and complete the work.

Your expertise, reputation and relationships may have brought clients for years. But when delivery takes over, visibility and business development can slip. When work slows, the pressure returns.
Busy. Then quiet. Confident. Then questioning.
The issue may involve more than marketing. How you see your role, communicate your value, choose opportunities and lead the business all influence what happens next.
Built on Purpose™ brings those pieces together. Your Feast or Famine Business Diagnostic™ helps identify the patterns and priorities most relevant to you
You do not need to become louder or less like yourself. You need to make room for the decisions, relationships and commercial practices your business now requires.
That means learning to lead yourself, influence the people your business depends on and build the systems around your expertise.

Over six months, you’ll work towards:
✓ Greater self-trust in decisions, visibility and conversations about your value
✓ A clearer purpose and stronger vision for the difference your business can make - helping clients, collaborators and others connect with and contribute to that vision.
✓ Purpose-guided business direction that responds to today’s market, with clearer priorities and commercial choices.
✓ Stronger positioning and a more coherent brand that help the right people recognise your value and understand why they would choose you.
✓ A more consistent rhythm for visibility, relationships and business development.
✓ A rolling 90-day action plan that brings your purpose, vision and business priorities into practical steps you can implement and review.
Your starting point and priorities will shape where you make the greatest progress.
Mindset affects visibility.
Visibility affects opportunity.
Commercial pressure affects decisions.
The owner and the business develop together.

Strengthen how you see yourself and the value you bring. Work with the beliefs, habits and responses that affect your self-trust, decisions and willingness to act.
Build on your understanding of how mindset shapes your own actions to influence others more effectively.
Engage teams and collaborators around your purpose, and strengthen the positioning, conversations and client relationships that turn your expertise into meaningful value and impact.
Turn purpose and strategy into commercial action. Clarify your market, offers and priorities, then build the practices and systems that support consistent progress.
Identity, purpose, values and strengths; recognising your value; self-doubt and perfectionism; limiting beliefs; self-trust and action in uncertainty
Understanding clients; translating expertise into value; positioning and messaging; visibility; networks and referrals; businessdevelopment conversations; collaboration and client experience.
Turn your purpose and vision into a clear direction for the business. Align your market, offers, priorities and systems so the value you create for clients also supports a commercially sustainable business. Bring that direction to life through a rolling 90-day action plan
Your business needs to attract the right potential clients, help them understand how you can help, turn that interest into paid work and deliver the value you promised.

Delivering valuable work can lead to repeat business, referrals and evidence that helps future clients choose you. We use this formula to identify where the flow breaks down - and strengthen the practices that help good work generate future opportunities.

Built on Purpose™ is for experienced women who have built a business around their expertise and are ready to develop the business around it.
You can work alone, lead a small team or collaborate with others. You do not need employees to participate.

Referrals have carried you, but they’re not sustaining the business let alone growing it.
You want greater commercial confidence while staying true to your values.
You welcome thoughtful challenge, practical action and capable peers.
You are ready to participate and apply the work between sessions.
This program asks you to take an active role in building your business. It is unlikely to suit someone seeking an instant leadgeneration fix or passive content to watch without applying.
